The National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) has allocated a sum of $188,070,000 for luxury services during the 39th edition of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, scheduled from November 21 to December 1, 2024. This amount covers accommodations in five-star hotels, access to spas, catering, among other exclusive services.
The budget will be divided into several items to ensure the comfort and well-being of guests and festival staff. An additional hiring of $20,400,000 has been approved to accommodate event staff in another four-star hotel less than 700 meters from the main venue. These contracts will be managed under an open purchase order modality to pay only for the services used, although the total expenditure has already been authorized.
Highlighted services include access to five-star restaurants, free Wi-Fi, premium hygiene products for guests, televisions, and sommier beds in all rooms, as well as complete bathrooms and guaranteed emergency service. Base double rooms will include a full American-style breakfast, and safes and minibars will be provided for greater security and personalized comfort.
The hiring was carried out through a Direct Hiring process by Exclusivity (87-0022-CDI24) with a file number of EX-2024-114156527-APN-GAYF#INCAA. The selection of the Hermitage and NH Gran Hotel Provincial hotels was justified due to their exclusivity and proximity to the event location, supported by a letter of recommendation from the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF).
